I met my husband in high school. I don't remember when it was, and he doesn't remember it at all. I guess it wasn't love at first sight.
A year or so later we re-met during our first year of college. The sparks did not fly, but we have a few friendly memories from this time.
Three years (including one LDS mission) later, we met again. This time we hit it off (third time's a charm!)
One year later we were married.
For five years I've had the privilege of being my husband's wife. Here's just a few reasons why:
- In the middle of the night when I can't sleep, he'll wake up and talk with me
- He cleans the bathroom regularly. How romantic!
- I can honestly say that he has never gotten mad at me (even when I deserve it), and he has never told me 'no' (probably not always a good thing)
- He is such a helpful and proud Daddy
- And oh, how he makes me laugh
Five years ago today I married my best friend and each year is better than the last.
