The first movie we saw was Knocked Up. Yeah, all it took was the title to turn me off to this movie. It was on TV one weekend and we just ended up watching it, and you know what? It was actually a sweet movie and we both ended up really liking it. Of course it was the made for TV version so that toned it down a lot.
The other movie we saw was The Social Network. When I heard they were making a movie about Facebook I threw up in my mouth. Boring. But then it was getting all of these great reviews so we kind of had no choice. I guess I'm weird in the head because I don't know what all the buzz was about. It's hard for me to like a movie when two minutes into it I already hate the main character. However, if I was a business person, I would probably have enjoyed the film. Also, apparently them kids at Harvard are having a lot of fun.
Some movies surprise you, some don't.
Speaking of movies Alec and I saw this movie called White on Rice a while ago. We wanted to see it because it was filmed mainly in Salt Lake and it looked like a good one. It did not disappoint. I don't own many movies, but I want to own this one.
There's this scene where the main guy in the movie is on a date. He's Japanese and his date is Korean. He asks his date if they have Japanese food in Korea and she says, "I'm from Southern California." So he asks, "Do they have Japanese food in California?"
Well last night Alec and I were at this sushi place and we were sitting at a table next to an Asian couple who I think were on their first date. The girl asked, "Do you like Japanese food?" and the boy answered, "I like chicken casserole!" Then they talked about casserole for a little while.
In other news, things are going well here. Today we got a rebate to Costco for $115! Yay! How much did we spend at Costco to get that rebate? I don't want to know. Also, Alec's happy because It's game day so Alec had his Jimmer shirt on, BYU won their basketball game, and to top it off, while we were out and about someone stopped Alec and asked him who Jimmer was. He seemed to think that was pretty cool.
Oh, and we got new pillows.
We are living. it. up.

I didn't really want to see The King's Speech, but went anyway. It was a good movie and one that I would recommend.
I HATED The Social Network... so I guess we can just be messed up in the head together. Yay for new pillows!
